Noor ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

To provide you with the App's features, we collect or process certain sensitive device and user data:

• Location Information: We request permissions to access your device's location (precise or approximate). This information is processed locally on your device solely to calculate accurate Islamic prayer (Salah) times based on your astronomical position. We do not store or transmit your location data to our servers.
• Account Information: If you log in to sync your AI usage credits, we process your Firebase Authentication identifier (UID). This is stored securely via Google Firebase to manage your account and quota.
• Quota & Promo Transactions: We store your AI credit quotas and promo code redemptions securely in Firebase Firestore. This is used strictly to prevent abuse and verify transaction balances.
• Local Chat Cache: Your chat messages are stored locally on your device in a SQLite (Room) database. They are not sent to our servers except for processing the specific active query you submit to the Gemini API.

2. Use of Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Calculate and notify you of daily Salah times.
• Process and answer your queries through the integrated AI model.
• Track credit quotas and manage promo code redemptions to ensure service availability.
• Maintain and improve App functionality.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Data is only processed through service providers essential to App functionality, specifically:

• Google Firebase: Used for secure user authentication and syncing user credit quotas.
• Gemini API (Google AI SDK): Processed query texts to generate Islamic knowledge retrieval answers.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

All local database data (including bookmarks and local chat history) can be cleared instantly by clearing the App's storage in your Android settings.

5. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your account data. However, please remember that no transmission over the internet or mobile network is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended to collect sensitive data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date of this Privacy Policy inside the App or on the website.
